A small project called "A Room of One’s Own", which started a few years ago in the Lithuanian media as well as with several exhibitions that took place in Vilnius and Kaunas, eventually turned into a new book "What Took You So Long". It is an album full of female artists' works and interpretations by art critics.

We want to take a closer look at, analyse and promote the art of the female artists in our collection. Just as 2019 started, it turned out that it’s not just us trying to achieve that – after reviewing the programs of major museums this year, we discovered that the centenary of women voting and the given opportunity to study arts is celebrated throughout Europe with a bang.

So we invite you to the book presentation / discussion "What Took You So Long? Women's Affairs” at Vilnius Book Fair!
