Discussion "We need to talk about performance art" at the art fair "ArtVilnius"
The Lewben Art Foundation participated in a discussion titled "We need to talk about performance art" at the international contemporary art fair "ArtVilnius". Curator Valentinas Klimašauskas led the discussion, which featured artist Agnė Jokšė, curator of the 1st Vilnius Performance Art Biennial Neringa Bumblienė, and Giedrė Marčiulaitė, the project manager of the Lewben Art Foundation.
The discussion revolved around the concept of performance art, the execution, curation, and collection of performance as a specific art form, and what is needed for fostering the emergence and spread of interesting and unique performances by Lithuanian artists.
In 2020, the Lewben Art Foundation acquired the performance "Tristan and Isolde" by the artist Dr. GoraParasit.
