First fundraising event of Juozas Kavaliauskas Memorial Charitable Foundation
On 16 October the first fundraising event of the Juozas Kavaliauskas Memorial Charitable Foundation will be taking place. Event will include a benefit concert featuring famous Lithuanian musicians and an e-auction with artworks donated by the Lewben Art Foundation.
The Juozas Kavaliauskas Memorial Charitable Foundation was established on 25 September 2019 after the loss of a brother, friend, colleague and member of the Lewben Group family Juozas Kavaliauskas (he passed away on 3 November 2018).
Part of the first charity event of the Juozas Kavaliauskas Memorial Charitable Foundation, an e-auction of pieces of art, has already started. All monies raised will be donated to children with oncological diseases.
The Lewben Art Foundation has donated pieces of art for the auction, including works by artists Šarūnas Sauka, Jonas Rimša, Neemija Arbit Blatas, Stasys Ušinskas, Kazimieras Žoromskis, Emmanuel Mane-Katz, Antanas Martinaitis, Leonas Katinas, Žakas Lipšicas. Contemporary artists such as Vilmantas Marcinkevičius, Auksė Miliukaitė and Linas Jusionis will also feature in the auction. Altogether 17 pieces of art will be auctioned.
