Cross-training: 10 exercises to shape a museum
On September 8–9 in Riga (Latvia) the Lewben Art Foundation has participated as a partner at the symposium entitled “Cross-training: 10 exercises to shape a museum”. The symposium was organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ABLV Charitable Foundation.
The aim of the symposium was to talk about grant programmes in the fields of art and arts education together with current, as well as potential, partners, keeping in mind the great future project – the Latvian Museum of Contemporary Art. The Lewben Art Foundation made a presentation on “Why we decided to collect internationally at Lewben Art Foundation”.
In the international art symposium participated artists, art historians, representatives from highly renowned arts centres and independent curators. The symposium programme consisted of lectures, panel discussions, master classes, portfolio “speed dating” and artists’ presentations about changes that the era of information saturation has brought to art institutions.
