The first charity event of Juozas Kavaliauskas Memorial Charitable Foundation: 56 thousand euros were donated to children with oncological diseases
The first charity event organized by the Juozas Kavaliauskas Memorial Charitable Foundation was held on Wednesday evening. The event also ended an e-auction organized by the foundation and the money raised during the auction will be donated to children with oncological diseases. Those wishing to contribute to the fund could also donate the amount of money they wanted in other ways.
Works were donated to the auction by the Lewben Art Foundation. The auction included works of famous artists such as Šarūnas Sauka, Jonas Rimša, Neemija Arbit Blatas, Stasys Ušinskas, Kazimieras Žoromskis, Emmanuel Mane-Katz, Antanas Martinaitis, Leonas Katinas, Žakas Lipšicas. Contemporary artists such as Vilmantas Marcinkevičius, Auksė Miliukaitė and Linas Jusionis were also featured in the auction. The amount raised was about 56 thousand euros.
